ACOUSTIC PULSE AND REFLECTOMETRY

Using this technology allows us to inspect all tubes, regardless of their size, configuration or material. It consists of a portable and compact probe that can be used to inspect diameter exchanger tubes up to 33 mm. The probe injects an acoustic pulse and captures the reflected signals. The system then generates easy to read reports that accurately show the location and dimensions of each defect.

Equipment: Dolphin G3 Acoustic Eye

Applications: heat exchangers, hoses, pipes, ferrous and non -ferrous metals, plastics and graphites


PHASED ARRAY ULTRASONIC INSPECTION

This state of the art technique of computerized inspections records while maintaining a high probability of detection. The physical principles of operation are similar to the eco pulse of conventional ultrasound with the difference that it can be controlled by software parameters such as angle of refraction, beam exit point, particular focal points, and more.

Equipment: Veo and Prisma by Sonatest

Applications: metal structures, pipes and welds.


GPR

This technique involves the transmission-reception of high frequency electromagnetic waves which can identify the presence of objects and both metallic and nonmetallic materials buried or mounted. Through its advanced software, the data can be integrated and processed with graphics in two and three dimensions to later deliver a detailed report associated with the different studies.

Equipment: GPR of GSSI

Applications: for inspecting cement, roads, bridges, and pipes as well as in forensic and geological investigations of underground elements.


STEEL CABLES BY MFL

This survey provides data on the integrity of the steel cables. The variation of the magnetic fields allows for the detection of defects in the cable’s entirety. The same is recorded in a control unit and analyzed with a specific software in order to reveal whether it has suffered any physical changes or alterations.

Equipment: WRI from Intron

Applications: cranes, elevators, bridges, cable cars, integrity analysis of steel cables and transport of people in general.


DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

This service consists of recording with a photosensitive plate. Using x -rays or gamma rays we then scan the cassette with a device dedicated to transfering the images to digital format. The phosphorous plate is then subjected to radiation in order to erase the stored image and can be reused immediately. This procedure takes only a few minutes, whereby greatly reducing the radiation exposure times of conventional methods.

Equipment: HD-CR of Durr

Applications: reinforced or prestressed concrete structures and steal.


DIRECT DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

The use of this technique has the advantage of immediate results. The images are generated quickly and are available on the screen of the laptop for analysis "in situ". Here there is no need to wait for results or compromise quality. Time is significantly reduced in the exhibition while the efficiency and safety for operators is increased.

BORESCOPE AND INDUSTRIAL VIDEOSCOPE

This service consists of the internal inspection of equipment and structures such as pipes, tanks, boilers, valves, etc., with a flexible tube, 4mm in diameter, and up to 15 meters long.
With this inspection we can observe and determine the presence of obstructions, internal, formation of husks, oxides and / or adhesion surface defects.
The equipment is fully portable and battery-operated.

REMOTE TV

This technique allows for inspection of all varieties of piping in any industry, especially spaces that are inaccesible by the operator, using high quality film equipment.

Equipment: JVC Full HD camera, still images, films, touch screen, and stylus 3.

Applications: remote TV for equipment and pipes that are difficult to access.


THERMOGRAPHY

Infrared thermography (IRT) is a non-contact technique for locating both surface and sub- surface defects and can be applied to a wide range of materials.
It enables inspection of large areas in very short inspection times, coupled with the advantage of portability of equipment and accessories. This technique is characterized by its speed, versatility and easy to use operation while offering interesting results in the detection of defects in composite materials with different fields of application.

Equipment: TermApp from Opgal

Applications: damaged electrical connections, bearing lubrication, friction, overheating in different systems, couplings and water infiltration.


END IN CONCRETE

Concrete structures can suffer deterioration or corrosion of armor, caused, many times, by problems like project failure, low -quality concrete, imperfections during the job, or simply with the passing of the years.

Some problems are impossible to detect with visual inspection, which in turn, can become a risk in security.

Therefore , Bruke offers the most advanced Concrete Tests with high-tech state of the art equipment in order to ensure fast and accurate diagnosis.


CORROSION POTENTIAL OF FRAMES

It allows you to monitor and identify reinforcement corrosion in structures of reinforced and prestressed concrete. An integrated software creates isopotential maps that facilitate the process of identifying regions that are in the process of corrosion, a great advantage of the non-destructive nature of the technique. The combination of the measurement of potential and resistivity improve information on the condition of reinforcement corrosion.

Applications: in all structures with reinforced concrete such as columns, beams, slabs, tiles and other exposed structures.


TEST OF SURFACE HARDNESS

This test consists of impacting a concrete surface and measuring the reflection of a standard weight using a reflection sclerometer. As a great advantage for tests with traditional mechanical devices, the technology of the optical encoder with differential absolute speed of the team allows for high precision measurements independent of the direction of impact, without directional corrections, whereby bringing highly reliable results.

Equipment: Silver Sclerometer Schmidt

Applications: in all concrete structures with a minimum age of 14 days and maximum of
60 days for a quantitative and qualitative assay. As qualitative assay in structures
Concrete exceeding 60 days.


ULTRASONOGRAPHY

Consists of sending ultrasound waves that are compatible with concrete. The speed of the pulses in a material depends on the material’s density and its elastic properties which, in turn, are related to the quality and compressive strength of the concrete. By identifying possible defects such as cracks, voids and discontinuities in the concrete, we can estimate the mechanical resistance to compression.

Equipment: Pundit PL 200 by Proceq

Applications: all reinforced and prestressed concrete structures such as cracks, gaps and discontinuities in concrete.


GPR

This is a geophysical method using electromagnetic waves propagating at a high frequency. When the spectrum reaches the interface between materials with different dielectric permittivity, this technology allows quick mapping of concrete structures with different depths depending on the antenna, identifying the positioning of the armor, empty tubes, tubulations in PVC and other transition elements, including the possibility of producing reports with 3D images.

Equipment: GPR by GSSI

Applications: in all structures of both reinforced and prestressed concrete.


RESISTIVITY

It is a Wenner 4-point probe designed to measure the electrical resistivity of concrete in a completely non-destructive testing. It is the most accurate instrument available, extremely fast and stable, and has a robust and waterproof housing designed to operate in the demand of local environment.
The surface resistivity measurement provides extremely useful information on a concrete structures.

Equipment: Resipod by Proceq

Applications: estimating the probability of corrosion, indicating corrosion rate, correlation with permeability of chloride, evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment, identification of needs for the area of cathodic protection systems , identification of wet and dry areas in a concrete structures, indicating the areas that are more susceptible to the penetration of chloride, correlation with resistance to premature compression, correlation with permeability of rock to water.


SOIL INSPECTIONS

This is a method of geophysical prospecting based on the emission of electromagnetic pulses at short durations. Using a transmitter, a pulse train is generated, that is to say, EM waves cross different subsurface layers and cause a reflection of the energy from the front part of the wave. The receiver then detects these reflections and creates a two-dimensional image registration or "depth - distance " subsurface along the entire line of travel of the antenna. It can be applied to mapping foundations in buildings, location of foundations, as well as armor and pipes. It is also used in forensic and geological studies and research.

STEEL WIRES

This survey provides data on the integrity of steel cables. Data loss in the magnetic field are related to the state of the cable in its  section and entirety. That is, data is recorded at each point to be sure as to whether or not it has suffered any physical change.
This technology uses the method of magnetizing the permanent magnet wire (MFL Magnetic Fluke Leakage). The magnetic head is installed on the cable to examine and moves longitudinally through the cable during the test; the magnetic field saturates the cable section in longitudinal direction.
Irregularities in the wire, such as metal reductions area (LMA) and local defects (LF) cause a redistribution of the magnetic flux around the cable, which is detected by sensors. These signals contain valuable information concerning reductions in the metallic area (LMA) and local faults (LF), as well as other important data.

Localized failures can be detected as:

Cuts of wire on the interior or exterior
Corrosion
Stretching
Wear and tear
Loss of transversal metallic area.
